Hi, my name is Michelle, but “Snoop” is an online nickname I’ve used for many years (because I love Snoopy). I started this blog because I have enjoyed all kinds of theatre for most of my life, and I wanted to share my thoughts. My “home base” is St. Louis, MO, which has a vibrant and growing theatre scene. Most of my reviews are of St. Louis productions, but whenever I am able to see shows in other cities (such as London, New York, etc.), I will review them, as well as some films that are based on plays or musicals. I also write features and interviews when I get the opportunity, and occasional thoughts on various aspects of theatre.
I’ve participated in theatre on an amateur level in a variety of ways, but mostly I’m just an educated fan. I love to read, write and talk about theatre, and this is where I can do that. I hope you enjoy it!
Just wished to say congratulations on creating an amazing Blog. I really liked the sound of this ‘Muny’ theatre productions and judging by your review you really enjoyed it too!
Keep up the good work

It’s great to see another set of thoughtful reflections about a growing St. Louis theater scene. My only question is about your background image. Why Times Square? I suggest http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2335/2394977504_eb0158a59a_b.jpg
as a more appropriate image. I look forward to reading more of your work.
Thanks! The Times Square photo is one I took on my last trip to New York, but I have been thinking about changing it for a while. I will look through my photos and see what I can find.
The new background looks great. Thanks for the insightful comments on “Pterodactyls.”
Thanks, and you’re welcome! I love all kinds of theatre, and I’m loving that I’ve been able to see so many varied productions this year!
I knew when I saw your name as liking Scott Miller’s post about the Missouri Arts Council’s article, “Snapshots of the Missouri Arts Blogosphere,” that there was something familiar about it. Of course – you’re Snoop! We have featured your blog in the article as well. Thank you for your passion for theater arts!
Hi, Barbara! Thanks for mentioning my blog in the article. I realy appreciate it!
Would like to read the script Fly by Trey Ellis and Ricardo Khan
Do you know where I can get a copy?
Hello. I’m not sure where you can find a copy of the script. I searched on Google and was unable to find a link to buy a script. I hope you are able to find a copy!
I’m sorry and I don’t mean to sound petty, but Christie Johnston was not the set designer for Upstream Theater’s production of The Kiss. She was the scenic artist.
Thank you! It’s not petty at all. It’s very helpful! I misread the program, and I’ve fixed it now.
Hello there! I want to start by saying that your blog is wonderful! It’s great to see people celebrating St. Louis theatre! I just wanted to let you know that in your review of Insight’s “Moon Over Buffalo”, I actually designed the costumes since Thomas Crain was unable to do the show. Nonetheless, thank you for supporting the show, and for your kind words!
Hi! Thanks for the kind words, and for the information! I’ve fixed my review to give you credit.
Nice work!
